Significant numbers of companies and financial institutions have publicly committed to achieve sustainability objectives, including net zero, with over 700 publicly listed companies of the Forbes Global 2000 having committed to net zero. Yet there is significant variability in the quality of these commitments and doubts about their integrity.

米フォーブス誌の発表する世界のトップ企業「グローバル 2000」に名を連ねる700 以上の上場企業が温室効果ガスのネットゼロを宣言しています。このように、現在多くの企業や金融機関は、ネットゼロを含む持続可能な社会の実現に寄与することを公に宣言し目標に掲げています。しかし個々の取り組みの質にはかなりのばらつきがあり、全体的な目標達成に向けた取り組みの実態には疑問も残ります。

The Transition Plan Taskforce, together with the Japan Climate Initiative, UN Principles for Responsible Investment, GFANZ, ClientEarth, and the University of Oxford hosted an event to provide participants with a primer on what Transition Plans are, why they are important, the latest regulatory and policy developments relevant to transition plans, and how this is relevant to users and preparers of transition plans in Japan.

Transition Plan Taskforce（英国移行計画タスクフォース）は、 オックスフォード大学、Japan Climate Initiative（日本気候変動イニシアティブ）、UN Principles for Responsible Investment（国際連合責任投資原則）、GFANZ (グラスゴー金融同盟)  、ClientEarth（クライアントアース）、 オックスフォード大学と共に、ネットゼロ移行計画とは何か、移行計画はなぜ重要なのか、移行計画に関連する最新の規制および政策の動向について、さらにこれらの動きが日本においてネットゼロ移行計画を実行しようとする当事者や計画策定者達にどのように影響するのかについて考え、参考となるイベントを開催します。
