Rikkie specialises in research project management in higher education. For many years, she has also been a public policy consultant and project manager for a wide range of clients including corporations, non-profits and government agencies in Hong Kong.  Rikkie taught managerial skills, communications and civic engagement in master degree and undergraduate programmes. 

Her research interest include corporate governance, civil society, new media, and public policies including sustainable transport. Rikkie received her PhD in public management, a master degree in journalism and a bachelor degree in Economics from the University of Hong Kong, and an MBA from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
