about

Dr. Anubhav Choudhary (Google Scholar) is a research fellow in climate finance analytics at the University of Leeds. His research is on the evaluation of climate data and its customization for financial analytics, with a specific focus on CGFI’s work on pensions and asset management.

Prior to his current role, Anubhav worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in Germany. During this time, his research delved into the exploration of model dependencies in simulations of warm conveyor belts associated with extra-tropical cyclones, utilising numerical weather hindcasts.

Anubhav holds a PhD from Jawaharlal Nehru University in India, where his doctoral work centered around a comprehensive process-based assessment of Indian monsoon simulations within the multi-model regional climate downscaling framework. During his PhD, he was awarded the prestigious DAAD fellowship by the German government to work as a visiting researcher at the University of Wuerzburg. Beyond his professional pursuits, Dr. Choudhary maintains a profound interest in comprehending the intricacies of Himalayan climate warming and the fascinating field of cloud-radiative interactions.
